A bit of back and forth still with LA County with our creative solutions to getting Altadena Drainage plans approved. Plan check wanted some minor modifications which is fair enough to bring the plastic lined rain gardens 5 feet off the property lines and make sure everything is compliant.

We’ve been working hard to streamline the Altadena fire rebuild drainage plan process. Our approach focuses on keeping existing drainage patterns to avoid stormwater sump pumps, which are expensive and require street plans. By using plastic lined rain gardens at low points, we can handle stormwater on-site more economically.

The key to our success has been careful attention to property line setbacks and ensuring all drainage features meet County requirements. We’ve found that proactively addressing potential issues in the initial design saves time and reduces costly revisions later in the process.
